Also made of waterproof material and includes bottom drainage holes just in case something was to happen. The 2 outside pockets are large enough to carry additional gear and tools with ease. Not a fan of the wheels? This Buckingham bag is still waterproof with the Vinyl Coated Nylon, however it looks more like the traditional climbing gear bag with 2 carrying handles much like a dufflebag. The 2 outside pockets have snap buttons to securely hold your other tools and gear, while keeping them dry.
This bag is large enough to store all your tools and gear. A great buy for a seasoned lineman that has accumulated all the tools and climbing gear one needs. Cheaper than the previous two bags, but still able to hold all the gear of a lineman.
Best Budget: Klein 24″ Canvas Wide Opening Climbing Gear Bag
Maybe you’re more into the canvas style material…I am. And honestly if you just need to carry your climbing gear- no tools, drills, ropes, etc…this is a very solid and cost efficient option. This bag is large enough fit your climbing belt, hooks, bucksqueeze, and a bit more if you try. Lightweight and high quality straps keep your gear safe and sound for their entire trip.
By far the most cost efficient option on the list. Maybe this Klein Canvas bag is the one that best suits your needs?
Best Under $100: Bashlin 22″ Canvas Bag with Outside Pocket
Very similar to the Klein option above, however this bag offers additional storage with the outside pocket. This Bashlin bag is built with a steel frame, quality handles, and a bottom made of Masonite.
If you like the canvas material, but prefer a bit more storage than the Klein canvas bag then this is the climbing gear bag for you. The additional pocket allows for much more storage, if you don’t use that pocket for hot gloves.
Canvas style vs Vinyl Coated Nylon
The canvas material holds up well to the tough and rugged nature of this line of work, however it offers very little waterproofing. I enjoy the piece of mind when using a canvas style bag as I can throw it around a bit more without worry of a snag ripping the material.
Such is an issue with vinyl coated nylon waterproof material. This vinyl material is superb for keeping your gear dry and safe, however the material is more fragile when it comes to snags and scrapes.
